Minutes of Dec 2011 meeting read and accepted.
Treasurer’s Report
$21.00 to General Fund from 2011 budget
$1,280 in our window fund and $105.00 for cards, misc.
Kathy Holmes was present to discuss the banner/logo for the Heritage Commission.
What represents The Heritage Commission?
• Preservation/Restoration
• Stone walls
• Daffodils
• Trees and Country Roads
• “Cow” picture
• Education about preservation
What size should the banner be (26 X 48)? Should we have a picture? Font? Color? We have a lot to discuss.
Bob presented a wonderful draft drawing of the banner.
We would like to incorporate Bob’s words, stone walls, the “Canterbury Rd. Trees”, & daffodils.
We will meet to work on the Meeting House/Library inventory Thursday, January 26th @ 3:30.
We would like to discuss the Historic District with Tom Jameson. We would like to invite him to a Heritage meeting.
Page 30 of our Preservation Planning Handbook discusses Historic Districts.
Dave Bowers will be at our February meeting, which will be held at the Grange Hall, February 16th @ 7:00. He will discuss the window restoration project.
